Position : Senior Electrical Engineer
Location : Middletown CT
Type : Permanent

Responsibilities:
Design, application and accuracy of facility electrical
engineering
services
provided by the company. The services include lighting design, low and medium voltage power and distribution design, fire alarm design, communication systems design, low voltage controls/systems design and contract administration.
Interpreting and applying all applicable codes, statutes, calculations or standards of design required for the successful completion of a project. These include federal, state and local Building, Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire codes as well as the National Electrical Code and IESNA standards.
Directly supervising and assigning electrical work to other appropriate company staff as well as ensuring close coordination with company administrative, mechanical, structural and civil personnel.
Sign and seal project electrical documents in accordance with the appropriate laws and regulations, as the responsible electrical professional engineer (PE) in charge.
Project and staff management
Technical design reviews, quality control, staff mentoring and staff reviews.
Assist with staffing and resources allocation needs.
Perform regular reporting about the current status of project mechanical budgets, schedules, and related issues to ensure completion on time and within budget.
May travel for project and presentation related activities.
Required Qualification:
Engineer/Principal/Senior Engineer (PE) with at least 15 years of exp.
Top notch with ability to manage a department and represent the firm in high-level RFQ/RFP interviews.
Able to perform specification and technical writing and basic business communications
Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
Able to open, review and plot an electronic drawing using AutoCAD.
Able to use electronic equipment sizing and selection programs & understand electronic building design software (ex. LitePro or Visual).
Strong interpersonal and client relational skills and be able to support new/existing client relationships and assist external and internal marketing efforts (ex. RFP preparation).
