Pratt and Whitney, Middletown CT facility has an immediate opening for Electronic System Servicer's experienced in the electronic repair and troubleshooting of various CNC Machine Tools.
Under direction of supervisor the ideal candidates will be required to perform the electronics work necessary to maintain and repair electronic and electromechanical C.N.C. machine tools and equipment. This requires using recognized methods in selecting and using available tools and equipment, and planning or altering the methods necessary to complete the assigned work.
Refer difficulties to supervisor or project leader.
4 year high school diploma or GED required.
4 year apprenticeship preferred.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2-3
years' experience electronically troubleshooting and repairing CNC machine tools.
Applicants will be required to have previous knowledge of electronics and electrical theory, including A.C. / D.C.; solid state theory; polyphase power, and a thorough understanding of computer operations; codes; mechanics; hydraulics, and pneumatics, and their interdependence in controls systems. The selected candidates must also be proficient using trigonometry, capable of working from complex schematics and technical material, and using a variety of test equipment.
May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned trade.
Middletown, CSMC is a DOT/FAA Regulated facility and compliance with such rules is a condition of employment.
