04/hour Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 1st shift, full time, 40 hours The Parent Support Specialist will provide voluntary in-home parenting skills for families involved with the Supportive Housing for Families program.
The Parent Support Specialist will use the Family Check-Up and Everyday Parenting curriculum to deliver brief, strength-based assessment and intervention for families with children ages 2 through 17 years old.
Responsibilities include conducting home visits and/or community visits as defined by The Family Check-Up and Everyday Parenting models and delivering the Family Check-Up and Everyday Parenting curriculums with model fidelity.
This position will require statewide travel.
This position is non-exempt and works under the supervision of program Management.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree 2
years prior experience in child development and/or parent skill building Motivational Interviewing and Parenting Training preferred Valid Connecticut Driver's License Regular and predictable attendance is required Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
